Roburt J. Waldow is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Silicon Valley office. He is a member of the Tax Department where he focuses his practice on state and local tax.
Prior to joining McDermott, Roburt was a shareholder in the tax practice group at a prominent international law firm. Roburt regularly represents clients in state tax controversy matters, from audit through litigation. He also advises clients on state franchise, income, sales and use, and local property and miscellaneous business tax matters arising in connection with business formations, operations, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and dissolutions.
Roburt is the current Vice-Chair of the Banking and Savings Institutions Committee of the ABA Tax Section, and is a member of the State Bar of California. He has been a panelist on state tax matters at the California State Bar Tax Section California Tax Policy Conference and at meetings of the Banking and Savings Institutions Committee of the ABA Tax Section and the San Francisco Bar Association. Roburt is a contributing author to the CCH California Tax Analysis: Corporation Tax (2d ed.), and has co-authored articles published in BNA's Tax Management Multistate Report and the Journal of Taxation and Regulation of Financial Institutions.
