Rod Dir is Chief Operating Officer for Cincinnati Bell, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing the daily management and performance of sales, marketing, network and customer care operations across all of Cincinnati Bell's business groups. Mr. Dir reports directly to President and CEO Jack Cassidy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cincinnati Bell.
Mr. Dir's career spans 25 years in the telecommunications industry. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer of Atlanta-based Powertel, a publicly traded wireless carrier that operated in 12 states and 34 contiguous markets throughout the southeast. He was successful in developing the market and growing the subscriber base to over one million subscribers. After the Powertel merger with T-Mobile, he played a significant role in the growth of T-Mobile USA's nationwide retail business.
Mr. Dir serves on the board of advisors in the development of the World Children's Center, a non-profit organization centered on supporting children in need that have been separated from their parents.
Mr. Dir earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
