When I was 10 years old I helped my mom in her flower shop in downtown Amsterdam. And that is where flowers got me hooked.

I got my floral education at the floricultural college in Aalsmeer Holland. During my college years I spent every weekday off and vacation day working for flower exporters at the Aalsmeer auction and I spent the weekends working for flower growers. Then when I graduated I went to America. After a short stop in North Carolina I ended up in California.

I bring 16 years of California floral industry experience to Sun Valley.

Prior to joining Sun Valley I have done various jobs with the industry ranging from growing freesias, managing multiple warehouses to being director of sales & marketing.

At Sun Valley I manage new product development to ensure that our bouquet designs are leading edge and take full advantage of what is fresh and in season.
