Roger K. Siemionko is vice president of technology for the DuPont Safety & Protection platform. He joined DuPont in 1977 as a research chemist at the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, Del.
From 1981 to 1987, Dr. Siemionko held a variety of research, plant technical and technical marketing leadership roles in Wilmington, Del. and Old Hickory, Tenn. In 1988, he became the global technical manager for the Tyvek� business in Richmond, Va.
Dr. Siemionko served in this role until 1992 and then transferred back to Wilmington, Del., to become global technology director for the Nonwovens business. While still in Wilmington, he assumed the role of global technology director for the Packaging and Industrial Polymers business in 1999.
Early in 2001, Dr. Siemionko moved to Richmond, Va., and assumed the role of global technology director for the Advanced Fiber Systems business. In 2002 he added the responsibility of global technology director for the DuPont Safety & Protection platform and in 2005 was appointed managing director for technology and innovation in the Safety & Protection platform. He assumed his current position in June 2006.
Dr. Siemionko was born in Northampton, Mass. He graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University in 1974 with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. As a Dox Fellow, he received a masters of science degree in 1976 and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 1979 from Yale University. He has numerous scientific publications and has authored 15 issued U.S. patent. |
