Roger Gurnani is president West Area for Verizon Wireless, responsible for the company's operations throughout the western United States, an area spanning 12 states plus El Paso, Texas. Prior to his current assignment, Gurnani served as vice president chief information officer for Verizon Wireless, responsible for the company's Information Systems portfolio development and operation of its data centers and communications facilities. He helped oversee and complete the integration of the domestic wireless operations of Bell Atlantic, Vodafone AirTouch and GTE at the inception of Verizon Wireless in 2000. He had previously served as vice president and chief information officer at Bell Atlantic Mobile.
