Rolan joined EEI in October 2003 as Operations Manager of Mobile Energy Products, Inc., a subsidiary of EEI Technologies, Inc. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has over 40 years experience in various positions in the battery industry.
Prior to joining EEI, Rolan was Vice President of EaglePicher Technologies, LLC (a diversified battery manufacturer) and was responsible for all activities of the Power Systems Department. The PS Department grew to employ 165 employees with annual sales of $16 million per year. During this time, he also headed a team which transferred nickel- cadmium technology, designed the equipment, and installed a large cylindrical cell manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China.
Previous positions were in development, design, program management, marketing, sales, and overall management of battery operations with both government and commercial markets. These product lines included thermal, cuprous-chloride magnesium, and silver-chloride magnesium primary batteries; silver-zinc, nickel-hydrogen, nickel-cadmium, nickel-zinc, and lithium-ion secondary batteries. |
