Ron, now serving his first term as an at-large director, is a graduate of Andover Newton Theological School. He was ordained in 1990 and has standing in the Metropolitan Boston Association. Ron holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a Contract Officer for special target populations with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.
Ron has served as Assistant Pastor at Neville�s Chapel, United Church of Christ in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and was former Minister of Education at Memorial Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Sudbury, and Massachusetts. Ron is a former President and Executive Director of the Black Ecumenical Commission of Massachusetts.
A former volunteer with the American Peace Corps, Ron served as staff to a project that evolved from his work as a volunteer, which brought 55 new volunteers to India. He was a member of a delegation of Witness for Peace volunteers to Nicaragua during the height of the Sandinista Revolt and joined a delegation to the Middle East during the Gulf War. He represented Witness for Peace in Haiti in 1992 and served on its National Steering Committee. Ron is a graduate of the National Coalition Building Institute.
