Ron Moelis is a principal of L&M Development Partners Inc., a New York real estate development company, specializing in the financing and development of affordable housing in the New York City metropolitan area. L&M has developed over 6,000 units of affordable housing and over 250,000 feet of retail space in the New York metropolitan area. Ron is also a principal in L&M Builders LLC, a construction company, operating in the same area.
Mr. Moelis participates heavily in the community by serving as Vice Chairman of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing and as an advisory board member of the Housing Partnership. Ron also sits on the Board of Directors of the following non-profit organizations, Citizens Housing & Planning Council, Associated Builders Organization and the NYU Law Real Estate Institute. Mr. Moelis is a stong supporter of education as well and is on the Board of Overseers at the University of Pennsylvania and the Board of Trustees of the Rye Country Day School.
Ron attended undergraduate school at the University of Pennsylvania where he received both a B.A. in history from the school of Arts and Sciences and a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School. He then received a J.D. from New York University and spent a year as law clerk for the Honorable Stanley Brotman of the Federal District Court in New Jersey.
Currently, Mr. Moelis resides in Larchmont, New York, and is married with three children. |
