Ron Wright is President of C&S and President of ES3. He joined C&S as a Grocery Buyer in 1983 after 10 years in various grocery procurement management positions with Star Market. In 1987, Ron was promoted to Vice President of Grocery Procurement and then to Senior Vice President of Grocery and Frozen Procurement in 1990. In 1995, he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and became a member of the C&S Board of Directors. Ron was promoted to President of C&S in 1998 and assumed responsibility for all wholesale operations within the company. In 2001, he was given the additional role of President of ES3. In 2002, he was named President of C&S Holdings.
Ron has been active in several food industry professional groups and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI). He is a former Chairman of New England Wholesale Food Distributors Association. In 2000, Ron was named "Connecticut Food Stores Man of the Year". He also served as the 2000 General Co-Chairman for the Deborah Hospital Foundation.
Ron holds a BS in Economics from Lowell Technological Institute (now University of Massachusetts-Lowell). |
