Ronald E. Baron joined Citizens Bancorp of Virginia on May 2, 2005 and serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the holding company and its subsidiary, Citizens Bank and Trust Company. Mr. Baron's banking experience is extensive having most recently served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer at the Benjamin Franklin Bancorp, Inc. in Franklin, Massachusetts, since 1997. He also served in financial management positions at Bay Loan and Investment Bank and Bank of New England-Old Colony, N.A. both institutions located in Rhode Island. Mr. Baron was also employed as a Credit Officer for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's Liquidation Division. Mr. Baron obtained his MBA degree from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. |
