Ronald J. Zaleski, Sr., executive vice president and chief actuary of Selective Insurance Group, Inc., is responsible for directing the company's actuarial operations, including analysis, pricing and reserving and state filings. He also plays a key role in the company's strategic planning to ensure financial success.
Mr. Zaleski was promoted to executive vice president in 2003. Before joining Selective in September 1999, Mr. Zaleski was vice president and chief actuary of custom markets for TIG in Dallas. He has more than 20 years of experience with major property and casualty companies as well as an actuarial consulting firm. He also served as chairman of the board for the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD and has done graduate work at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Mr. Zaleski is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
