Ronald Benjamin is an audit partner in the New York office of Mitchell & Titus, a member firm of
Ernst & Young Global Limited. He is a member of Mitchell & Titus' Quality Control Committee and oversees the firm's in-house inspections. Ron is a certified public accountant in New York and various other states.
Ron has over 30 years of experience in providing services to clients in the not-for-profit sector and is a member of the firm's Not-for-Profit Practice. Ron plays a significant role in setting the firm's policies and procedures in connection with accounting and audit issues of not-for-profit organizations. He provides audit and business advisory services to many not-for-profit organizations, including corporate and private foundations, advocacy groups, arts and culture organizations, and community development corporations.
He has a Master of Business Administration in Computer Methodology from Baruch College, City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accountancy from Pace University. Ron has been active in the accounting profession, participating in the promulgation of accounting principles for not-for-profit organizations. He served on the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Previously, Ron served on the board of directors of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Notably, Ron is one of the co-founders of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). Additionally, Ron is a frequent speaker on the single audit for not-for-profit organizations at trade and professional seminars. |
