Dr. Brockman is a member of many professional organizations including the Third District Medical Association, North Dakota State Medical Association, North Dakota Chapter - American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, North Central Cancer Treatment Group, American Society of General Surgeons, Northern Plains Vascular Society and the Southwestern Surgical Congress. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ronald Brockman, Physician Director of Outpatient Surgical Services, has been with the ophthalmology group at Altru since 1998. Along with his practice at Altru Clinic - Main in Grand Forks, Dr. Brockman travels throughout the region in North Dakota and Minnesota to do outreach work.
He received his undergraduate degree as a pre-medicine major from Pennsylvania State University in 1979. Dr. Brockman then obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1982, and completed an internship in internal medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1983. From 1983 to 1986, he did his residency in ophthalmology at Georgetown University�s Center for Sight - Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Brockman also obtained a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration with a specialty concentration in outpatient clinic practice from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in 2001. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Brockman is a member of the North Dakota Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. |
