An expert in the area of automated decision making and planning algorithms and search techniques, Dr. Brafman has been a professor of computer science at Israel's Ben-Gurion University since 1998. Dr. Brafman has served on the program committee of numerous leading Artificial Intelligence conferences, including AAAI, KR, and UAI. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and the Decision and Reasoning under Uncertainty section of the Electronic Transactions in the Artificial Intelligence Journal. Ronen is also an academic member of the STRIMM consortium. Dr. Brafman received his B.Sc. in Mathematics (Magna Cum Laude) and M.Sc. (Summa Cum Laude) in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University where his dissertation on agent models won the Arthur Samuel Memorial Thesis Award for best thesis. |
