Rose has more than 20 years of progressive management experience in proprietary, tertiary and public healthcare organizations, and is recognized for accomplishments in productivity enhancement, systems design and implementation, fiscal management, and process improvement.
As a healthcare executive, Rose has led patient care services, assumed operational responsibilities in various complex hospital settings, and provided consulting services to organizations in need of significant operational improvements in turnaround situations.
Professional Experience
Most recently, Rose was the executive director at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, NY, part of the SVCMC system in NYC. Currently, she is serving as interim chief operating officer at Crouse Hopsital in Syracuse, NY and is providing operational and strategic consulting for surgical services.
Rose served as interim chief nursing officer at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY, a Chapter 11 turnaround, developing operational and staffing recommendations that contributed to a $25M savings program. She managed strategic and operational responsibilities for surgical services at California Pacific Medical Center, a four hospital system, in San Francisco, CA.
Rose began her executive career at St. Francis Hospital, Colorado Springs, CO, in 1984, as vice president of nursing. In 1988, she became senior vice president of nursing at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, TX. She was then named senior vice president of patient care services and, subsequently, chief operating officer, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
In 1997, Rose became chief operations officer for Maricopa Integrated Health System, Phoenix, AZ, with operational responsibilities for the tertiary hospital, ambulatory care centers, and behavioral health and home health services. Accomplishments include a $17M financial turnaround, staffing reductions, increased resource efficiency, management of major construction and renovation projects, implementation of effective process improvement and quality projects, and improvement in ambulatory care and physician practice operations.
In 1999, Rose became chief operations officer of TMC HealthCare, Tucson, AZ, where she implemented operational cost and resource reductions and a new organizational structure, recruited a new management team, eliminated unprofitable services, created a facility renovation and campus plan, and revised the process improvement program to achieve a $14M turnaround.
