Rosemary joined the firm in 1999. She began practicing law at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue's Litigation Bureau where she served as a counsel to the Commissioner of Revenue. She represented the Commissioner before the Appellate Tax Board on matters including sales, corporate, valuation and personal income tax issues. While living in South Carolina, she gained admittance to the South Carolina Bar before returning to Massachusetts and joining the firm to work on the development and trial of complex litigation matters requiring multiple attorneys. Her practice areas include civil litigation and state tax matters. Rosemary and David Martel of the firm are the co-editors of the Appellate Tax Board Update, an annual review of that Board's local property tax decisions. |
