Roy Ross, the President of CiviGenics, has earned an international reputation in health care for successfully developing new treatment and rehabilitation models for diverse populations. His decades-long experience as a senior manager culminated in the founding of CiviGenics, the nation's first treatment-based correctional management service. In his capacity as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ross has overall responsibility for the direction and performance of the organization. Before founding CiviGenics, Mr. Ross was president of Spectrum Health Systems, a Massachusetts-based non-profit substance abuse rehabilitation and treatment center. He also served as executive vice-president of Marathon, Inc., a multi-state substance abuse treatment network and Director of Administration for the Shriver Center, a biomedical research institute affiliated with the Harvard Medical School.
As an innovator in criminal justice issues, Mr. Ross has made presentations for the American Correctional Association, the National Institute of Corrections and the Pennsylvania Wardens Association. His treatment research experience has included roles as Principal Investigator and as Project Director on major federal research initiatives funded through the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Before launching a career in business, Mr. Ross was a 2nd Lieutenant fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force, and was attached to the British diplomatic service. Mr. Ross has served as an adjunct professor of management at Northeastern University in Boston, and earned degrees from Oxford University. |
