Ruby's operating experience includes line roles at GE, i2, VerticalNet and Ketera and strategy experience from his tenure as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. At i2 he lead the pioneering and highly successful value based selling Strategic Opportunity Assessment (SOA) group the progenitor of VBS best practices and methodologies currently employed at only a handful of leading global companies. As COO of Ketera Technologies (a Kleiner Perkins funded American Express spin-off), Ruby created the first "on-demand" provider of Spend Management solutions. Revenues grew 10x under his leadership. Ruby was founder and CEO of Aentropy, a spend analysis technology company acquired by Ketera. As COO of VerticalNet Solutions, Ruby helped create this Enterprise Software arm of VerticalNet from its acquisitions of Isadra & Tradeum. Previously, as VP of eBusiness Services for i2 Technologies Ruby was involved in the creation of TradeMatrix & other eBusinessinitiatives. Ruby joined i2 Technologies from McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, Ruby served senior leaders of several Fortune 50 companies in operations efficiency and new market. He is a graduate of GE's Manufacturing Management Program (MMP) and held several operations roles at General Electric for over 6 years - from Plant Manager to running a Joint Venture in Asia to undertaking post-merger integration of 5 acquisitions in Europe. Ruby earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, and obtained BS in Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo. |
