Executive Director of the PT Group. Since April 2006, he integrates the Executive Committee of the Portugal Telecom Group and takes on the following functions: Marketing; Relations with Regions, Municipalities and Portuguese-speaking Communities; Real-Estate; Safety Policies and Single Store Project.
As Executive Director of PT Compras, the company that concentrates the purchases of the Portugal Telecom Group, he is responsible for the Marketing and Publicity area and co-ordinates the Strategic Planning of Purchasing of the Portugal Telecom Group for 2006.
Comprising the managing board of the Portugal Telecom Group since 2001, in the PT Multim�dia Group, he carries out the functions of advisor in the areas of Business Intelligence, Real Estate and Safety.
Before entering the Portugal Telecom Group, Rui Pedro Soares, co-ordinated the elaboration and publication of the book The Internationalization of Portuguese Economy, which was referred to in various economic publications, and comprised the recommended bibliography for the subject International Dimensions of Corporate Activity at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Coimbra for degrees in Management, Economics and International Relations. In the Banque Nationale de Paris/Paribas Group he integrated the Marketing Departmnet of Bank Cetelem, where he co-ordinated the market surveys, competition analysis and analysis of efficiency of commercial campaigns.
Rui Pedro Soares, 33 years of age, has a daughter and graduated in Marketing Management from IPAM (Portuguese Institute for Marketing Administration) and did the management course for executives of Insead Telecommunications: Strategy and Marketing. He practises sports regularly, namely basketball and football. His hobbies are reading, movies and mountain climbing. |
