Rush Haines is a partner in the firm and is a member of the firm's Corporate and Securities and Real Estate Practice Groups. From the time of his involvement as a young lawyer in both the Penn Central and Martin Decker bankruptcies, Rush's practice has bridged the firm's real estate and banking/bankruptcy practices involving significant representation of banks and other financial institutions as well as real estate developers and investors.
Areas of Concentration. Rush has a broad base of experience in representing banks and other financial institutions in the origination and collection areas, including construction and permanent loans, letter of credit enhanced financing, industrial revenue bond financing and leveraged buy-out financing. In addition, Rush supervises the firm's real estate foreclosure work. When not representing lenders, Rush represents real estate developers and investors, including one of the largest residential builders in the Delaware Valley.
In General. Rush regularly lectures for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Land Title Association and other continuing legal education organizations on real estate finance, ethics, restructurings, workouts and foreclosures. He is a contributing author to a number of Pennsylvania Bar Institute publications, including Mortgage Foreclosures (POI 1993-833), Issues in Commercial Mortgage Foreclosures (POI 1996-1128), Negotiating and Drafting Commercial Real Estate Finance Documents (POI 1997-66150) and Ethical Issues for Real Estate and Business Lawyers (POI 1993-818). In addition, he is the senior trustee and chairman of the board of The Episcopal Academy, serves on the board and is secretary of The Breast Health Institute, and was a past president of the Princeton Club of Philadelphia. |
