Russ Barbour, Vice President of Engineering Russ has a long track record of leading product development for both hardware and software companies. He began his career as a software developer and architect for Honeywell Information Systems. Russ then held development, architecture and technical management positions at Prime Computer and was a co-founder for Apollo Computer, where he spent a decade in positions that included Vice President, Engineering and Vice President, Advanced Technology. During his tenure, Apollo grew from a startup to a Fortune 500 company with more than $800M in sales. After Apollo's acquisition by Hewlett Packard, Russ launched his own company, Acuity Software, a produced of software development tools. More recently he was Vice President of Development and CEO of Advanced Visual Systems and the CTO of the social media startup Gather Inc. |
