Mr. Clarkson's practice focuses on general commercial litigation, products liability litigation, and construction litigation. Prior to joining Dykema he was a law clerk with the Transportation Security Administration in Washington, D.C. Mr. Clarkson graduated in the top 5% of his law school class.

Experience
Successfully defended international automobile manufacturer against claims for breach of implied warranty brought by individual consumer. Obtained grant of motion for interlocutory review of denial of automobile manufacturer's motion for summary disposition based on the economic loss doctrine. On appeal, the appellate court reversed the lower court and dismissed plaintiff's complaint in its entirety with prejudice.
Successfully defended international automobile manufacturer against claims for negligence and breach of implied warranty brought by individual consumer. Obtained grant of motion to dismiss based on plaintiff's spoliation of evidence.
Successfully defended 501(c)(3) non-profit land developer against claim for breach of contract brought by architect.
Successfully defended international automotive maintenance company against and obtained dismissal of all claims brought by individual consumer.
Obtained reformation of mortgage on behalf of national title company.
Advised major automobile dealership association on compliance with federal adverse action notice requirements.
Obtained bench verdict for compensatory damages and rare exemplary damages award on behalf of tenant in landlord-tenant wrongful lockout and conversion case.
