Mr. Rao co-founded FNSTAR in 2000 bringing 30 years of finance, administration and corporate financial leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. At FNSTAR Mr. Rao leads the Asian operations including business development, R&D, product development and administration. Mr. Rao was the CMD of SGS Oils Ltd. a leading manufacturing company in India. At SGS Mr. Rao led a turn-around effort over a period of 2 years and delivered $6 million in revenue and $1 million in net margin. With Mr. Rao's leadership, SGS became profitable, and in 1999 delivered $12 million in revenue and $3 million in net margin. Prior to SGS, Mr. Rao led several Asian companies including the Urban Bank Co-operative in India. He served as the Chief Financial and Administration Officer of M/s Engineering Projects (India) Ltd., (an international firm with operations in the middle east) and as CEO of M/s Priva Engineering Co. Ltd. He sits on the Board of Directors of SGS and Urban Co-operative bank. |
