Experience:
Sagit Kaufman is an associate in the Corporate & Securities Group of Mayer Brown dealing with corporate finance, merger & acquisition and fund formation transactions. Securities: Representing issuers and underwriters in public offerings of debt securities; private placements of equity, including Rule 144A offerings. Fund Formation: Representing fund sponsors in formation of open and closed end funds and representing investors in private equity and real estate funds.
Mrs. Kaufman is also a member of the Firm�s Israeli Practice Group advising Israeli business ventures in the US and foreign companies on various legal and business activities in Israel.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2007, Mrs. Kaufman held the position of the Director of Public Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest, located in Chicago. Before coming to Chicago, Sagit was an associate at the law firm of S. Horowitz, in Tel-Aviv, where she focused on intellectual property and anti-trust law. From 1999 to 2001, Mrs. Kaufman was a faculty member and worked as an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya where she taught courses on property and criminal law. Among others, Mrs. Kaufman worked with the former judge of the Israeli Supreme Court, and the Dean of Tel-Aviv University.
Mrs. Kaufman is fluent in Hebrew.
