Mr. Hillin has more than 28-years of experience with growth companies to large multi-billion dollar corporations in the food and beverage industry. Prior to co-founding Fairmount Food Group, Mr. Hillin spent four years with Morningstar Foods, Inc., a $1.1 billion subsidiary of Dean Foods, serving in several roles including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Operations and finally as Senior Vice President Of Strategic Development. Prior to joining Morningstar, Sam was the Chief Financial Officer and President of DSD Operations for Authentic Specialty Foods, Inc., a million dollar manufacturer and distributor of Mexican foods. During his four-year tenure with the company, he played an instrumental role in the turnaround of a failing company, culminating in a successful 1997 public offering and subsequent profitable sale of the company. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Hillin was Vice President of Finance for Oak Farms Dairy, a regional dairy company that was owned by Southern Foods and is now part of Dean Foods. He began his career in 1978 with Arthur White & Company, a Dallas-based public accounting firm. Prior to joining Oak Farms in 1990, he was employed in several positions with The Southland Corporation. |
