As a business and engineering professional for over 25 years, Sam Nasiri has participated in several major shifts in the microwave communications and computer industries. Sam�s expertise as a Microwave Engineer led to the founding of GMS over 15 years ago. He has extensive experience in television broadcast equipment design and system engineering, microwave communications equipment design and thick and thin film hybrid microelectronics design. Under his direction, GMS designed and implemented complex microwave communications systems for the major television broadcasters for numerous events including the 1988 Seoul Korea, 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, and 2000 Sydney Summer Olympic Games, many New York, Los Angeles and other major Marathons and news/sport events.
Before founding GMS, Sam was responsible for and performed numerous equipment design tasks, and system integration as a microwave engineer. He has extensive experience in microwave oscillator and power amplifier design for broadcast television transmitters, and individual transmitter and communications system design for commercial industry as well as the military marketplace. He worked extensively on several remotely piloted aircraft, Department of Defense programs, providing system integration for command/control and video surveillance data links.
Sam obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University (1982) and joined Broadcast Microwave Services, Inc. immediately after graduation. He joined General Microelectronics in summer of 1986 and started a consulting business in 1987. Finally he worked at NS microwave for two years as a consultant until he founded GMS in July of 1990. Sam Nasiri is an active member of several business and technical organizations including the Young Entrepreneur�s Organization (YEO). |
