Samuel M. Sheldon* is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Miami office. He is a member of the Trial Department.
Samuel has handled various litigation matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings. He has experience in diverse areas of litigation including commercial disputes, securities enforcement actions, white-collar criminal defense, and employment and labor matters. His experience also includes pro bono representation of clients in immigration and bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to joining McDermott, he was an associate with a major international law firm in New York.
Samuel was the 2004 Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida's 18th Congressional District.
While in law school, Samuel served as the articles editor for the Virginia Tax Review and participated in the William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition.
Samuel is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
