Samuel N. Hazen is President Western Group of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA, the nation�s leading provider of healthcare services, and responsible for HCA�s operations west of the Mississippi River, which currently include 90 hospitals and annual net revenues of approximately $12 billion.
Hazen began his career in Humana�s Financial Management Training Program in 1983. He has served as a CFO for hospitals in Georgia and Nevada and as a regional CFO in Kentucky.
In 1994, he joined HCA as the company�s North Texas Division CFO. He was named HCA�s Western Group CFO in 1995 and served in that role until he was promoted to his current position on July 30, 2001.
Hazen earned his bachelor�s degree in finance from the University of Kentucky in 1982 and his master�s degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1988. Hazen is married with two children. He was born on July 30, 1960.
