Real Estate Lending, Financing of Commercial Properties
Samuel Gussis is a member at Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz Wolfson & Towbin LLC practicing in the firm�s Commercial Real Estate Department. He concentrates his practice on representing lenders in securitized mortgage transactions and mezzanine loan transactions nationwide, with a recognized expertise in tenants-in-common loans. Among the major projects Mr. Gussis has worked on at Shaw Gussis are a tenants-in-common loan to finance a Howard Johnson Hotel in lower Manhattan, and a combination mortgage and mezzanine financing loan for the Northwood Village shopping center in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gussis was an associate at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP. While at Sidley, Mr. Gussis worked on numerous securitized loans, including the financing of an international hotel on a pier in New Jersey, the origination and subsequent securitization of numerous conduit loans, the sale and leaseback by a national utility company of its regional headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois and the acquisition by a group of European physicians of a majority interest in the owner of One Financial Place, Chicago, Illinois.
