Mr. Samuel (Paul) Cohen is a senior scientist at RJLG with more than 20 years experience in laboratory analysis and management. He is responsible for special projects management within the technical consulting group, as well as day-to-day supervision of the organic and inorganic chemistry laboratory staff and activities, assuring the quality of procedures and results and maintenance of the various state and organizational accreditation programs. He has hands-on experience in the operation of many laboratory instruments and has developed analytical methods based on High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry. Prior to joining RJLG, Mr. Cohen was a project manager at Pittsburgh Environmental Research Laboratory, Inc., where he was responsible for the design, implementation, and management of studies to evaluate the chemical fate and dissipation of substances in accordance with Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act and the Toxic Substances Control Act Good Laboratory Practice regulatory standards. He has authored over thirty environmental fate reports for direct submission to EPA in support of pesticide registration requirements. Mr. Cohen is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry and the American Industrial Hygiene Association. He has served as a peer review panelist for the EPA Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant program and for several manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. He has published in peer-reviewed literature. |
