Sandeep Pombra has sixteen years of industry experience as an architect, engineering designer and senior manager of companies building DSP and voice communications products. Pombra comes to Ditech from GlobeSpan Virata, where he served as Vice President of Communications Products. In that role, he led the technology development and implementation of a high-density voice-over-Packet gateway processors that incorporated several voice technologies, including echo cancellation. From 1995 to 1999, Pombra served as Director and Chief Architect for Premisys Communications, which developed a universal voice gateway and integrated access product. Prior to Premisys, Pombra served as Chief Scientist for Comtech Labs from 1992 to 1995, where he led a number of development projects related to video processing and speech compression. From 1986 to 1992, Pombra held various senior staff positions with a number of high technology companies, including Compression Labs, Stanford Telecom, and JPL. He has a B.S. in electrical engineering from Rice University, and an M.S and PhD. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. |
